This is the fifth year that FCA has been invited to serve at the Youngstown City Parks. Over the past five years the city parks have decreased from 10 to 7 fully staffed parks that are filled with children during the summer. FCA is allowed to visit for a couple of hours at each park to introduce FCA and share a message about Jesus to the children. We have been invited to visit 3 locations each week including the north side city pool. It has taken a number of volunteers to make this possible because most parks have over 100 kids each day. A special thanks to Shawn Sprouse, Ryan Farr and the Old North youth group who continue to partner with us for this program.
This year we were blessed to include some of the YSU football players in this program. Kurt Hess, Torrian Pace, and Deonta Tate visited, played sports, and shared their life experiences and testimonies with the children at the parks.
